hello boumb,
this drawing is just a funny/sarcastic way to show the situation that unfortunately is - again and again - a fight for power (lutte de pouvoir).
but, if i have to be honest, i'll add that there is at least one person (myself) asking for the government to end up on the street. my only problem is that i do not believe in anything else, and even if i know how much this governement is corrupted, sold out and inactive, i am not sure that another governement will be better. in the best case i think it will be the same shit. in the worst case, a worst shit!
god saves the queen!
and fuck them all!

ps: good post on your blog today with the comparison between al akhbar and al mustaqbal pictures of the demonstration. on tv it is the same shit. if you watch future or lbc, you would think that nothing is happening in the country. they just show (for 2 minutes) the demonstration in the news. on the other hand, other tv station show nothing but the demonstration. the lack of objectivity/freedom of the medias is already something awful in the world, but it is even worst in lebanon. you cannot find a fucking media who has a sens of critic. we are doomed to stay idiots in this country.
and talking about the country, i reassure zvik on a comment he/she made on the drawing before this one: do not worry, there is no chance that lebanon becomes like iran. at least because it has so many difficulties to become like itself in the first place.

Be a little bit honest :-)
If a new government could be the same shit, or a worst shit, you have to at least aknowledge the possibility for it to also be a better shit.

my dear savo,
yes, in theory, the governement could be better (which in this case is very easy to achieve).
but to be really honest, i have to admit that i have no confidence in anybody in this country. i lived 31 years of shit in this country (so far), and i do not believe that any of the people who participated (actively AND passively) in this shit could one day bring me something better.
in a sense, i am a sort of politics' atheist.

...a political atheist or nihilist? :) if the lebanese political landscape was a few messy scribbles on a page...i'd personally sell everything i own (which isn't much) & buy you a giant eraser.
